Fitbit Charge 5 Overview

The Fitbit Charge 5 is extremely impressive, and pulls together the best features of Fitbit's current lineup in one neat device. You get on-board GPS for tracking runs without a watch, an EDA (electrodermal activity) sensor for measuring stress responses, contactless payments, skin temperature tracking, sleep tracking, excellent heart rate monitoring, and sleep monitoring – all presented in a neat interface that's intuitive and simple to use, even if you've never owned a Fitbit device before.

The Fitbit Charge 5 is a major update from its predecessor. It's the first tracker to come with Fitbit's Daily Readiness Score — a feature that aims to predict how much activity or rest you should take on for the day.

It’s 10% thinner than its predecessor, which was already a thin device, and boasts up to seven days of battery life on a single charge. That last metric is impressive, considering it’s the first Charge device to come with a touchscreen AMOLED display. The display can get almost 2X brighter than the Charge 4’s grayscale OLED display, so outdoor visibility shouldn’t be an issue. Also, Fitbit included an always-on display option for the first time, making the device seem much more like a smartwatch than a traditional fitness tracker.

It also offers electrical sensors that are compatible with Fitbit’s Electrocardiogram (ECG) and Electrodermal Activity (EDA) Scan apps, the latter of which helps monitor your stress level at various times throughout the day.

What’s more, when used with a Fitbit Premium account, the Fitbit Charge 5 offers detailed sleep, stress, and readiness scores to help you make more informed decisions on your health.

The Charge 5 also looks more luxurious than its predecessor thanks to its stainless steel case, which replaces the Charge 4’s plastic shell. It’s available in three colorways: black with graphite stainless steel, lunar white with soft gold stainless steel, and steel blue with platinum stainless steel. Additional bands are sold separately, including a perforated strap designed for better breathability during sports.

Once your order has been shipped from us, delivery can be expected anywhere from 1-3 working days following the shipped notification. Delivery times are dependent on your location however can be influenced by external factors such as weather delays, load-shedding, traffic and overall volume of packages.

Warranty ?

• For all products where the title states "Local Stock", the full manufacturer warranty is provided, normally for 12 months.
• For all products where the title states "Special Import", a warranty is provided exclusively by Connected Devices normally for 12 months.
• For "Pre-Owned", we provide a minimum 3 month warranty. In some cases, the product still has the manufacturer warranty, which would be indicated on the product page.

Returning Goods ?

• Simple, Hassle-Free Returns. We believe that returning your product should be as easy as it was when you placed your order for it.
• We offer free returns, so we'll arrange the pick-up of your item and return it back to you at no cost. This does not apply to change of mind returns.
• Pretty much all items on Connected Devices can be returned for any reason for a refund except items that we’ve ordered specially for you. These items are indicated by “Special Import” in the title of the product.

Changed your Mind Return ?

• You have 7 days from the date of receipt to return a product to us for any reason whatsoever. This is in accordance with Section 44 of the ECT Act. Note that items marked as "Special Import" which have been imported specially for you, cannot be returned under this clause. These products can still be returned should they develop a fault, during the warranty period.

• Where products have been imported from international markets, these products may differ in benefit and/or after sales support than the same product sourced in South Africa.  These products will be identified in the product title with the wording "Special Import".
  
• Where Products are imported directly by Connected Devices or a non-authorized distributor, these products do not benefit from the exclusive offer in South Africa. This includes but is not limited to, the Wi-Fi offer, ADH Cover and Extended 24 Month Warranty period.
  
• These devices carry a 12-month warranty, supported by Connected Devices in South Africa and not from the local manufacturer/distributor of the product.
